May 2020

Dear Paul Harding Students, Parents, Families, and Staff,

I would like to thank all the students, families, and staff who have been working endless hours since March 13, to continue the educational learning of our students for the last nine weeks.
I do not think that anyone would have thought that we would be ending the 2019-2020SY so quickly and abruptly. This school year ended like no other that I have experienced in my 22 years of education. I certainly do know that our staff misses interacting, teaching, and serving our PHJH students. Please keep the learning going this summer by using your iPads for educational purposes.
We will plan to collect all iPads in the fall of 2020, at which ever school you attend within EACS.

I hope that our students keep RISING UP as they continue to learn and grow in their everyday life experiences.
There have been a lot of great memories from the 2019-2020 school year, that I know will be remembered and cherished, as students leave PHJH!
I am grateful for the many things that we were able to accomplish, for all those who call PHJH their home.
A lot does happen in just a short school year and I hope that these are the best years of your life so far!
Junior high school does not last a lifetime but it is the life that you make for yourself from what you learn during these few short years that can last a lifetime!

I challenge you all to make each day count. I would like you to find something that you will be able to do to give back to those individuals, who have helped you at PHJH and made a positive impact toward your future. Enjoy your summer, be safe and have fun. I look forward to seeing our 7th graders return next fall as 8th graders.
We will be working again to RISE UP… EVERY STUDENT… EVERY DAY!

I wish the best of luck to our 8th graders, and I hope you continue to soar in high school as you join the graduating class of 2024.

Please keep safe and healthy until we meet again.

Be a HAWK – Have Respect, Act Responsibly, Work Together, and Keep Safe!!

Principal, Mrs. Danielle Newman
