Winter Wonderland Band Concert

Band Concert

Dear band parents and families,

The Paul Harding Bands have had a fantastic start to their year. We have 76 band members in our school ensembles playing a variety of band instruments. Beginning Band members have mastered the first notes on their instrument while also learning about ensemble skills such as team work, part independence, and the benefits of hard work. The Intermediate and Advanced bands have continued to develop their musical skills while learning about the historical significance of some performers and composers such as Ella Fitzgerald, Julie Andrews, Edvard Grieg, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. To showcase our talents and hard work, the Winter Band concert is scheduled for December 9th.

Due to Covid-19, this concert will not have a live audience, but will be video and audio recorded.  Though this is not the "normal" concert experience, we are very fortunate to be making music together at all. With this recording, students will be able to watch the concert with their friends and family as many times as they want!

The concert recording will become available via a link on Canvas by Monday December 14.
Students will stay after school on Wednesday December 9th. As concerts are historically formal events, students should plan to wear dress clothes of any color. We will rehearse and record after school until 5:30. All students should plan to be picked up from school by 5:30pm on December 9th.
As a reminder, the concert is for in-person students only. Thank you for your support of the music program at Paul Harding Junior High. Please contact me with any questions or concerns.
